Mazagón has a wealth of wide natural spaces to be enjoyed. Beautiful countryside, wild beaches, the National Park of Doñana, and the dunar cliffs are just some of the natural attractions we will find in Mazagón.
Mazagón is surrounded by many unexplored natural spaces; virgin areas where nature has not suffered at the hands of humans. Where humans have intervened it has been to protect and improve, for example the creation of the dunar cliffs of Mazagón, which since 2005 has formed part of the Natural Park of Doñana.
Sand dunes and pine forests preserve the charm of this zone.
To the west of Mazagón we find the Laguna de Las Madres, an area of some 110 hectares of wetlands where we will find herons and flamingoes...surrounded by pine forests inhabited by rabbits, badgers, pheasants, deer and protected species like the lynx.
Uniquely spectacular flora and fauna including local species such as the Camarina- a plant which gives delicious fruits.
When we speak about Mazagón and its landscapes, we cannot forget about the Marshes of Odiel, where we will find more than 200 different species of birds, and abundant flora..
Doñana, Odiel and the Laguna de Las Madres are the jewels in the crown of this locality, and must be visited by nature lovers.
